This book consist of essays commisioned by the Task Force on Health Costs/Policies of the Presbyterian Chruch (U.S.A) for its use in the preparation of a report and recommendations for the denomination's General Assembly and as background for the interpretation and study of that report. Some where produced by Task Force members, but other authors were also called upon. Two essays were written specifically for this book after the Task Force had completed its discussions.
